MYOCUM RIDGE
Myocum Ridge Farm sits at the crown of a hill on a working cattle property in Byron Bay's hinterland. The house is arranged as two pavilions in an elongated L-shape hugging the crown of the hill, connected by a covered timber and stone walkway. A landscaped courtyard forms the protected heart of the home, with living and outdoor spaces arranged around it. Every bedroom faces the morning sun and looks out across the surrounding hills; the main pavilion draws winter warmth from the north, while a screened room at the western end provides afternoon shade and frames the slow movement of light across the hills at the end of the day. Stone, hardwood, concrete and glass are used throughout, materials chosen for their durability and for the way they quietly accumulate character as the seasons turn. The palette is grounded and durable, as the landscape demands.
